2. Purposes of Collection and Processing of Personal Data

Your personal data is collected by automatic or partially automatic methods during your transactions (registration, posting, reservation, service request, filling out a contact form, etc.) and interactions on the Pomegranate Guide platform.

Your data is processed for the following explicit purposes and legal grounds:

Service Delivery and Operational Activities:

Enabling users (customers) on the platform to communicate with relevant businesses (health, education, tourism, consulting, etc.).

Personalizing the user experience, account creation and membership management.

Your data processed for this purpose is based on the legal reason that it is necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract (Art. 5/2-c of KVKK).

Communication, Marketing and Advertising Activities:

In line with your explicit consent, to inform you about services, new campaigns or announcements on our platform via e-mail or SMS.

Providing personalized ads tailored to your interests through our advertising partners such as Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, OpenAI.

Developing more effective recommendation systems by analyzing user behavior.

Your data processed for this purpose is based solely on your explicit consent (Article 5/1 of the LPPD).

Legal Obligations and Safety:

To prevent fraud, fake accounts or malicious activities in order to ensure the security of our platform and our users.

To ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations.

To fulfill the obligation to provide information upon request by legally authorized public institutions and organizations.

These purposes are based on the legal grounds of fulfilling our legal obligation (Art. 5/2-ç of KVKK) and our legitimate interest (Art. 5/2-f of KVKK).

Our legitimate interest is to ensure the continuity, security and operational efficiency of the platform.

3. Transfer of Personal Data

Your personal data may be transferred to the following persons and institutions in line with the above-mentioned purposes and in accordance with the conditions specified in the KVKK:

Service Providers: Our domestic and international business partners from whom we receive services such as technical support, cloud services, advertising agencies, payment systems and marketing consultancy, which are mandatory for the operation of our platform.

Transfer Abroad: With your explicit consent, your data may be transferred to service providers such as Google, Meta, OpenAI, Amazon, Microsoft located abroad within the scope of the operational activities of the platform (e.g. cloud services, analytics and advertising solutions). This transfer is realized in cases where your explicit consent is obtained or adequate protection is available (Article 9 of the LPPD).

Official Institutions: In case legally authorized public institutions and judicial authorities request information.

4. Data Collection Method and Legal Grounds

Your personal data is collected through digital channels such as our website, mobile application, e-mail, cookies, API connections and social media accounts.

The legal grounds for processing your data are:

Explicit Consent: In case your explicit consent is obtained pursuant to Article 5/1 of the LPPD.

Performance of the Contract: Pursuant to Article 5/2-c of the LPPD, provision of platform services to you and fulfillment of the requirements of the contract.

Legal Obligation: Pursuant to Article 5/2-ç of the LPPD, the platform fulfills its legal obligations.

Legitimate Interest: Pursuant to Article 5/2-f of the LPPD, to ensure the security and operational efficiency of the platform, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Public Health and Statistical Research: Pursuant to Article 6/3 of the LPPD, in cases where health data must be processed (applicable within the health sector).

5. Cookie Policy

Pomegranate Guide uses cookies to provide a better user experience.

Mandatory Cookies: Essential for site security and basic functionality.

Analytical Cookies: Used to measure visitor behavior, analyze site traffic and improve the performance of the platform.

Advertising Cookies: Used by third-party advertising networks (e.g. Google Ads, Meta Ads) to deliver targeted ads tailored to your interests.

6. Retention Period and Destruction Policy

Your personal data are stored for the periods specified in the relevant legislation and for the period required by the processing purposes. When these periods expire, your data will be periodically deleted, destroyed or anonymized.

User Account Data: During the time your account is active and for a maximum period of 2 years from the closure of your account.

Invoicing and Contract Data: At least 10 years in accordance with relevant legislation such as the Turkish Commercial Code and Tax Procedure Law.

Cookie Data: Maximum 2 years according to the settings in your browser.

7. Users Under 18

Pomegranate Guide does not aim to provide services for or collect data of individuals under the age of 18. Without the explicit consent of the parent or guardian, personal data of individuals under the age of 18 are not knowingly processed.

8. Rights of the Relevant Person

Pursuant to Article 11 of the LPPD, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

Learn whether your personal data is being processed,

Request information if processed,

Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used for its intended purpose,

Learning the third parties to whom data is transferred at home or abroad,

Request correction of incomplete or incorrect data,

Request deletion or destruction of data in accordance with the applicable legal requirements,

Object to the occurrence of a result against you as a result of the analysis of the processed data exclusively through automated systems,

To request compensation for damages in case you suffer damage due to unlawful processing of data.
